8TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT RACE:<\/span>
<\/strong>For the 8th Congressional District, due to Governor Ever’s executive order, in November there will be a Special Congressional Election (serves for 2 months until Jan. 3, 2025) and a General Congressional Election (serves from Jan. 3, 2025 to Jan. 3, 2027).  Therefore, in the August 13th Primary Election, there will be a Special Congressional Primary and a General Congressional Primary.  This means you vote for your preferred Congressional candidate in two separate places on the ballot under the “Special Congressional Primary” section, and then you would vote again as “Representative in Congress.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
